May want to post in the 2nd gen forum for more exposure.

Also, list miles, engine, anything replaced, did it sit for a long time, etc. Have you checked anything?

You may be experiencing computer confusion as fuel supply sources are doing their seasonal switch over between winter and summer fuel formulations. Also - a post in another currently active thread reminded me that you may have water/moisture or other contamination in the fuel - usually fixed up by running thru a tank or two of fuel with Sea Foam or Techron additive in it.

If that's not it, you may have a failing engine sensor (cam position and crank position). I'd try Sea Foam or Techron first - good for cleaning out fuel injectors anyway, so that's a second benefit.

'98 LXi - Later Concorde gages (black w/ chrome rings)/'99 LX - LHS gages (white) - HIR bulbs

P1381 = misfire detected - could go along with fuel contamination (including moisture).

Since you have to drop the tank for the pump/filter dump the old gas and flush the tank before you install new pump. Might be lots of stuff growing in there from the long rest!
