Need some pics of a 3.5 trans bell housing view...

Can anybody post some pics of a 3.5 trans bell housing view?
I would like to compare the bolt pattern with some other transmissions.

the bell housing didn't change from year to year, nor engine to engine. 3.3, 3.5, 2nd gen 2.7, 3.2, 3.5.. they are all the same.

You are absolutely right - but there are differences in the housings compared with the 3.0 engine. I would like to know if it possible to mount a A543 trans to a 3.5 engine? allpar says yes - but many other say that the only matching trans is the 5 speed from a stratus 2.7 R/T.

Go to this thread...http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...ad.php?t=42648

One of the last pictures gives a good view of the bellhousing.

Only the engine is transverse in the stratus. So you can bult it up but your axles will be facing towards the front and back rather then left/right.

Your not going to find a stick that will bolt up to these engines.

I know you think your on to something but seriously a lot of us have put good time into trying to figure it out. It always leads to this....

3.0L has a coolant tube running through the valley of the engine that requires a notch in the bellhousing. That makes it so the chrysler 3.x series will bolt up to a mitsu 3.0 bell but not the other way around. So yes, you can bolt that 5spd to the 3.5L but like has been mentioned you need to put that combo in something transverse.

Thanks so far to all of you for those informations. Actually it is really hard to find some proven facts or people who can disprove their statements with pics oder something like that. Most of the them only post what they gathered in the past and I don't understand why everybody says that it won't work?? Furthermore I can't find 3.3 drivers with a 5 speed swap?? But why - it seems to be rather easy to do the conversion! Transverse is no problem for me, because i am driving a 2n gen. chrysler minivan. My current ambition is to turbo my 3.3 with some 3.5 parts and a 5 speed swap. The biggest problem for me is to collect all the necessary information and of course to find some people with the same goal. Here in Germany... But this forum seems to be a nice place

Heres a pic of the 42LE (Torque Converter removed). This should help you on the bolt pattern.
