93 3.3L is randomly irregularly hesitating unevenly during acceleration when hot or cold doesnt matter. seems maybe a lil worrse when cold though. possibly. when sitting in gear stopped it often has a cylinder misfire kind of a shake in it, but sometimes not.
its really random irregular and the car will often surge and then lose power during acceleration. at higher speeds is smoother alot more. coasting etc.
its drivable but its pretty bad and its not getting any better. i am stumped. must be some kind of lean misfire. no smoke or fuel smells or leaks or anything at all. 292k miles bone stock all original. no CEL light on ever. cant run codes anyways since its an ODB 1.5
the only thing i have done different with it recently is i put 10w40 in it and its really cold out side here still. but its 10w cold same as any other 10w oil so i dont know how this may cause any issues with lifters etc if it evne has any,. who has any ideas?
i think im gonna replace the old original cam sensor sine it has a history of stalling out no restarting in the past, which is miraculously came out of and hasnt done for many years now,. never was diagnosed. and when i replaced the timing cover gasket seals a couple years ago and messed with the CPS it ran like brand new awesome. well until now.
does a bad MAP sensor set off CEL code? OBD 1.5?
i unplugged this sensor with it idling and it went rough a second then smoothed out and sped up a little and runs smooth great but the CEL light came on.
i plugged it back in and restarted it and the light went out and it runs smooth fine so far. but i havent driven it,.
still will be cheaper to fix than replace. this vehicle, so..
thx
