97 Intrepid lower economy after seafoam and alternator work.

Hello, so recently I replaced my alternator with a rebuilt alternator from a scrap yard, ran me 35$ for my 97 3.5L Intrepid, soon after I ran seafoam motor treatment (not the spray) through the brake booster vaccuum hose (only about 5 ounces) and put the rest of the 16 ounce can in my gas tank.

The engine seems to be smoother and it looked like it cleaned up a lot of buildup from the amount of white smoke that went through the exhuast after treatment, now the seafoam has been mostly run out of the fuel system, maybe an ounce or so is left, I'm guessing of course.

But my mileage seemed to drop greatly from either the seafoam or the alternator, a 1/16th would get me to and from work (both ways), now it takes about an 1/8th each trip (one way). There was something leaking from the passenger side of the undercarriage near the middle of the vehicle, but did not smell like fuel, actually just smelled a bit like oil but was clear, so I assumed a minor exhuast leak which would've been there before the alternator/seafoam work.

Possible your spark plugs are now trashed after Seafoam.

How long ago were the spark plugs changed and are they OEM type?

Never within the 10-15k miles I've owned it for, as for previous maintenance I am not exactly sure, they claimed it was well maintained, we have all the original reciepts from shop work, except some maintenance was done themselves, but they also said the brakes were good, yet they were all bad, including the rotors, you could feel the rotation of the rotors in the pedal they were so bad lol
