Question Ideas on getting oil dipstick out?

Well I went to check my oil and the top yellow part of the dipstick came detached from the metal on the dipstick and its stuck about a inch and half down the tube, my pliers seem to be to big to reach,any other Ideas?

got a air compressor?? if so,, take off the oil fill cap,, and using a rag as a seal,, blast the inside of the engine with air,, pop's them right out.

i would say needle nose pliers or a push grab it type thing. looks like a spring handle and 5 fingers come out of the other end to pick things up. Last resort would be a powerful speaker magnet. slide it along the metal tube till the stick slides up with it.

If not, carefully drill a small hole in the remaining plastic, {if any} insert a sheet metal screw, long enough to reach above the tube...carefully pull out with the sheet metal screw. If no plastic, and no compressed air, get some compressed air, or its pull the oil pan and push out from the bottom....

A buddy told me about the compressor trick, that's gonna make a f-mess though, needle nose I have are to big, push type part your talking about would work if I could find one to purchase, I just make the mess and do the the compressor trick most likely, thanx for the suggestions.
