1994 Vision: Intermittent High Blower setting

Ive noticed that the blower fan will randomly go into High Flow (full defrost). Its usually happens when i go over train tracks/bumps (but not always the case). Just as quickly as it appears, the blower returns back to the air flow setting I had it set to. IMO, this seems to indicates some type of loose connection. Is this related to the "transistor" (i think thats what its called) on the blower fan that controls the various airflow levels? If you think this is the cause, can parts still be bought, where is the location of this part in the car, is it easy to change (ie. how many hrs)?
Thanks folks

When you say full defrost - do you mean the fan speed goes up to high, or do you mean that the direction the air is flowing changes from vents in the dash blowing at your head to vents out the top of the dash blowing at the windshield?

Hi CD
I mean the fan speed increases to maximum. I can change where it directs the airflow. I believe the engineers designed it to fail to max flow if the blower faults out. Any idea what would cause this? Thanks

Do you have auto temp control, or manual controls?

What he said, a bad auto temp control plays games with the fan speeds all the time.

I have ATC. Somethings loose as it will go from normal flow to high almost every time i travel over a bump. It wont return back to the fan setting until i hit another bump. When it stays on for a long time, I pull out the fuse. However, i'll need it as the winter weather arrives... going to be a noisy drive..
