engine temperature gauge too low
Hey from Germany,
I have a Chrysler Vision which I believe was sold in the States as Eagle Vision, 3.5l 24V, 1994.
Ok, so the problem is that I took my (just newly bought) car to the shop to have them check with that diagnosis tool for error codes and such. After this, the engine temperature gauge would'nt go up past the first little line any more. Later that day I had them re-check the sensors, and they said the temperature sensor would give accurate values as well as the fan would start at 97°C (uhmm, I guess that's roughly 207 F). So it seems that only the gauge itself is not working correctly. However, you generally can see it working (e.g. it's going down slightly when the fan starts), but the movements just seem to be too small.
I don't think that the gauge is actually broken, cuz I find it a strange "coincidence" that all this happens after the car has been diagnosed.
Has anyone had the same problem and would you know what to do about it?
Thanks for your help
