lol what's wrong with window weld? AFAIK
it's a polyurethane with a hardness of about 55-60 (not sure of units..) Seemed to be comparable in price to casting poly available online. But yeah, you could do it a lot more neatly with a casting resin, just close off the space and pour it in.
I thought about buying a poly mount, but at 75 bucks, i figured I'd do my own. Plus, this way I get the good heavy steel and rivets of the original mount instead of the shotty jagged metal that Anchor produces.
That stuff isn't cheap though, cost me 25 at Advance, but with a coupon code, I basically got a free pair of those Mechanix gloves.. not sure how I like them yet, haven't used them, but they seem good for light work, good dexterity. I will use them when I install the mount.
Oh, and yeah be sure to wear gloves, my hands were black for like 3 days.. I had to sand them to clean them off, it really sucked because I work in a restaurant as a cook and couldn't show up that day with obviously black hands.
