I dont mind another blue intrepid honestly, I was just pulling your leg. Its my favorite color and they only produced the LH in those super light blues. I have seen a couple in medium to dark blue before and I just think they look dead sexy so thats my plan. Besides, I'm planning a faux factory graphic scheme that should look very unique but easily mistaken for stock. If you havnt guessed I'm going in the 'what chrysler should have built' direction.

btw, you have dual side pipes? how odd... i have a single on the drivers side (mostly not by choice) lol

Thanks for the approval :P And I agree, blue, especailly on a 1st gen is /REALLY/ sexy. And that's kinda what I'm doing too.... I think they should've had a few more performance/sporty looking options for the Intrepid, but oh well...

And yes, if you look in my first post on this thread, the 3rd to last and 2nd to last show it. It's only clamps, glasspacks, and flex tubes right now, but I will be redoing it using the same glasspacks, maybe some flowmaster 40's or similar behind that (too loud as is, love the sound, but needa quiet it up a little), and real pipes that are bent, properly secured, welded, and possibly dual upward tips on both sides that hug the bottom of the car.

Well tomorrow my paycheck will be in my account (gotta love direct deposit LOL) let's hope it's at least $200 so I can buy the radiator $105.99, car ramps $32.99, and trans mount $49.99 from Advanced Auto.... It'll be the 11th before the radiator will be there but they have the trans mount in stock. And with tax at 5.5 to the dollar that puts the total right at $187.97 before tax and $199.36 after (unless they round up the .3 of a to 1 whole in that case it'll be $199.37) Sorry I know I'm just babbling LOL But I'm gonna be there right at 7:30 when they open, then I'm going out to Hazel Green (should get there around 8) then I have about 2 and 3/4 hours to get the trans mount installed them shower and head to work. Wish me luck.

Good luck, I know its too late but you have to start ordering from rockauto, they have a trans mount for $15, w/ shipping youre probably looking @ $25 and then they have 5% off coupons. That savings pays for the antifreeze and water youll need

Heh I probably should, but the reason I didn't is the trans mount and radiator both have a lifetime warranty so if it happens to break again, back to advanced I go LOL

I'll probably be getting other stuff from there though

BigBCC,
rockauto.com is the SHIZZNIT! I bought a timing belt tensioner and a GATES timing belt for my 3.5L and had it in 2 days for 80something bucks tax and all. Also screw your 3.3c to the dollars, come down even further south and start paying 8.25c to the dollar. LOL

It's 5.5 not 3.3 LOL That's my engine size though :P If I were to go to Huntsville it's be 8 and Madison 8.5 So I figured Harvvest was the best choice since I live in Harvest and tax is cheap out in the county :P

Only if you build me a 3.6l stroker for the price of parts :P J/K I planned on seeing if I could come up sometime to hang out and get to know some follow people that share my love of this car :P Although a 3.6l stroker would still be nice Heh heh

Also picture updates.

The under-side of my car. I figured there'd be rust galore, but see what I see? NO RUST.... Save for the headers of course LOL

And my beautiful new radiator, due to go in ASAP

Deal! You put up the cash, I'll put up the knowledge and labor. I've got far more ideas than I have projects and I have far more projects than I have cash! Short story is that if you want a 3.6L stroker I can make it happen. Since I built mine I have even found a way to build it with normal compression instead of the 7.5:1 that I ended up with.

btw, two reasons you have no rust: Southern car and Oil leak! lol

Seriously you'd do that for me? LOL How stable would it be at normal compression?

And actually thats not oil.... That's the tran fluid because if you pay attention that's tranmission fluid pan... I'm not too worried about it yet because it's still full every time I check it. Also you can see my dual side exhaust better in that one LOL

Trans fluid is still technically an "oil" ...probably, lol

I considered for a moment pulling this engine back out and redoing it with normal compression and thats a good chunk of work ...so maybe that gives some indication of how I feel about a normal compression 3.6L ...?

I believe you are right about that I just wanted to mess with you for shits and giggles :P

And I'm supposing that means you believe the normal compression 3.6l is worth the work, but that's just me supposin' LOL

Anyways, update. Trans mount bolts would not BUDGE even after a good hefty coat of pb blaster and a half hours of waiting. So I sprayed them down again, and I'm letting it sit until I can get out there again. Good news is, I've installed the new radiator. I need to find a way to secure the other radiator thing (I think it's for the A/C not sure) to the front, seeing as the radiator was slightly smaller, I also need a few more bolts (for some reason the old ones weren't wanting to reach so I'm gonna go to a scrap yard and pull a few of the longer ones) It works for now though, and I'm sure I could drive it as is anywhere and not worry, but I want it done /RIGHT/ Also I nite shaded my tails.... Not the centerbar (need a replacement) but just the tails.... What are some brighter lights I can use? I know the ones that are in it are okay for night, but in day I'll end up getting rearended from someone not paying attention..... Now on to the pictures

Nite shaded tails (also painted/clear surrounds didn't wet sand or polish them just was making it look better)

Installed

Lights on (much brighter in person but definitely need brighter bulbs)

Out with the old (was a Son of a BITECH to get out)

And in with the new. Don't have any install pictures. But here is the new radiator with the fans I got from Cean a while back installed on it

Getting her back in running shape and I feel great about it

WOW!!! Glad to see them fans finally getting some use!

You say the radiator is smaller?

And yes, the other 'radiator' in front of the one you changed is the AC Condenser, and is like a radiator. It gives off all the heat transferred from the compression of the freon so that the freon can de-compress in the evaporator in the dash to get COLD for the AC.

You still got AC on your rig?

Good times... There are some days that I'm glad my car doesnt have a/c, like when I need to pull the radiator ...but most other days when its over 90 degrees here not so much. lol

I dont suppose you have an extra set of fans laying around? I need one of those relays mounted to the bottom of the fan unit... lmk

Yes I still have A/C hooked up. And I've been using the fans ever since you sent them, I just figured It'd be a Hell of a lot easier to mount them before putting the radiator in because last time was a huge PITA

Sadly I don't, my car was overheating a while back and Cean sent me these ones because I had one fan that would never kick on, and I brought the others to the scrap yard after because I was really low on cash and had a lot of cans and metal sitting around house and garage....
