RKE Module

Hi! I'm going to try and add keyless remote to my 2004 Intrepid SE. I know I need to find an RKE module. Does anyone know if this is part is universal among all Chrysler models or are there other models that use the Intrepid's module?

Thanks!

You'll need the whole RKE kit to have it working upon installation. If you don't get the kit with the receiver and the programmed remotes it'll be a trip to the dealer to get the remotes programmed. Part number for the kit below.

82207513 MODULE PACKAGE, Keyless
Entry

Here's one on Ebay for $84.98+shipping. Supposedly NOS.

I don't know about compatibility beyond LH cars. Intrepid, 300, and Concorde RKE modules from 02 to 04 should match up. The RKE module is fairly easy to find online or in a junkyard, but finding one WITH it's corresponding key fob isn't.
Without a key fob that is already programmed to that module, you'll have to have it done at the dealership.
On the other hand, you can order a new one from MOPAR, with 2 programmed remotes for about $80-90.
I was actually planning to add RKE to mine last weekend, but the pull-it-yourself junkyards here ALMOST NEVER keep the keys or key fobs once the cars are "planted". I may have to settle for new.

I was planning to go to the "pull it yourself" as well, but given the cost of programming after finding the module it's probably better just to buy it.

Thanks for all of your responses!

The cost of programming at the Dealer would probably cost way more alone than buying the kit with the remotes already programmed.

According to the photos on these sites, they have the 3-button (no trunk button) remotes:

Thank you peva, that's the puzzle I'm trying to solve. first link also contains a schema where 4-button remotes are drawn. How can I get trunk remote in this case? buy a used one from ebay/junkyard?

Unfortunately I don't have a dealer nearby with this item in stock to check which remotes are inside. Probably need to write to Mopar hot line

I'd say the 82207513 has 4 button remotes as shown by this image from the 2002 parts catalog:

Or at least that's how they were originally sold. Could very well have changed later or those pictures are just generic stock photos.

If you go further down the list in that first link you see the transmitter 04602260AD and it's picture shows it has 4 buttons:

And be aware there are two different keyless remote kits that fit different year range cars. The transmitter remotes are different also depending on what kit you buy. The receiver has different pin outs depending on the year car it fits.

82206643 is for 1998-2001 cars.

82207513 is for 2002-2004 cars.

So which do you believe: the photos or the sketches? The parts pdf's routinely use stock sketches. There are parts that changed drastically across the years and the sketches in the pdf's continue to use the earlier year outdated sketches. It could go either way.

Plug "82207513" into a part number search on Rock Auto and you get the same photo of the 3-button remote. Unlike Chrysler, Rock Auto isn't going to put up with wrong information causing unhappy customers and processing returned merchandise.

The transmitter I showed 04602260AD is what's called out in the Keyless Entry kit 82207513. It calls for a quantity of 2.

Do an Ebay search for 04602260AD and everyone pictures a 4 button remote.

I stand by it being a 4 button remote included.
