99 dodge intrepid will not start some times (Video)

Hello All;

Timeline.

A few months ago, you would turn the ignition, and it would either
Click, click, click
OR
Turnover, but not crank.

(Replacement)
Replaced the Batter and Cable Connectors.
Took apart and cleaned Jumper terminals

Now, the car will only turn over and not crank.
(IT DOES NOT do the click, click, click anymore.)

Here is a video we took yesterday. (Mind you, this only happens when it is HOT outside)
All test show that the alternator is good.
The Battery is fully charged, and getting a jump does not help, as the battery is juiced up.

What our your thoughts?

Sounds like fuel pump issue or engine sensors (cam and/or crank position sensor). When it's acting up, see if it starts and runs briefly after squirting a little (very little) starting fluid in the intake. If so, fuel system problem (bad fuel pump?)

You could try disconnecting the cam position sensor connector and seeing if it will run up to 2500 rpm. If so, needs new cam position sensor. If so, might want to replace cam and crank sensor. Get those from dealer only. If still doesn't run with cam sensor disconnected, still might need one or both sensors replaced.

Thanks again, Peva.
Will check on all that when they come over next.

Question.
Why would it only happen when it is HOT outside?
There have not had any issues over the last month, as it has been right mild, or cool out.
But, the next few days, it has been hotter than hell around here.
And that caused this issue and the overheating issue.

Damn, the fuel pump is expensive, over $200.00 from Advance.

Found it through a site I usually buy from, for $78.95
