2004' 300M: P1776 solenoid, replaced, now no shifting

hello, After 15 minutes of driving my 2004' 300M with 2.7l engine and (213.000km) I always got an error. P1776 Solenoid Switch Valve In LR Position and the car goes in limp mode.
So I ordered a new soleonoid block from usa.industries on ebay. I replaced it today, and filled in 4,5 liters ATF+4 after finishing.
also I disconnected the battery for 4 hours.

Now I can select every drive mode, but the car doesn't shift. I can rev the engine to 3000rpm and sometimes (<30%) the transmission does react then and shift.

I will test it tomorrow again after the fluid has set. I wouldn't say its too much or too low atf fluid, the oil stick is just before the first hot point.

the fact that the transmission sometimes react if I rev to 3000rpm, what is the purpose of this? somebody knows something about this?

there is no error code saved, so this is the only thing I hope that It could be too much or too low fluid.

Garage
I want to say that it takes about 6 quarts to refill when you do a filter/fluid change.

If it's 6 quarts for filter/fluid change as Brandon you're short a little over a liter of fluid on your refill. 6 quarts=5.67812 Liters.

oh hell, I checked it today again. the fluid level was under the first hole on the stick. so > 1 liter to low fluid. I fixed it and yes its working now

by the way... My 300M is an 2004'. the assembled solenoid build date was 1393.
I don't changed the valve body.
the TSB 21-008-04 DTC P1776 says : "If the build date range falls in between 3001 and 0603 replace the solenoid pack not the valve body". I will check in two days, if the P1776 error is solved or not.
the build date of the new solenoid is 2679.

oh no... I disassembled my old solenoid pack today... nothing spectacular inside like here to see.

I have read all the forums weeks before the solenoid replace. And when I looked at one of the tutorials again today I saw that I placed the two pistons wrong in. The flat side downwards!! argh.....

now I have to open it again and turn them upwards. LUCKILY I have not driven so far.

edit: reopened the pan and rotated the two pistons. all good now.
