How to change ECU/PCM

*If someone can provide pictures I would appreciate it, my camera was stolen.

1. Remove negative cable from jump point with a 15mm socket
2. Remove the Cruise Control "servo", there are 2 bolts I believe 10mm and set it aside
3. Remove the window washer top funnel thing by pulling on it
4. unbolt the powersteering resvoir and move aside with 10mm or 8mm,
5. unbolt the TCM (Transmission Control Module) with 8mm or 10mm, set aside
6. Now unbolt the the PCM/ECU (powertrain control module) 8mm or 10mm
7. disconnect connector wire and it should come right out

*remember that the PCM has to be programmed before you put it in, specific to your vin number, year/model, mileage and part number (located on the bar code P/N

I just did this with mine. The funnel for the wiper fluid was actually stuck in there so good that I couldn't get it out, so I just had to deal with it. I ended up having to take the whole headlight out to get to the nut to remove the ecm too. It took some wiggling but eventually got it.

I also ended up breaking one of the clips on both units when I tried to unplug the wires..10 years of never moving plus engine heat makes them so brittle.

there's a bolt that holds the funnel top in place, it should come right off. yeah I broke one of the connectors too, same thing happened to my dipstick too recently, some of that stuff gets so brittle
