2002 2.7 Fixed: 0068 & 0108 codes - MAP Sensor

Hello everyone,

Great forum and members here. Just wanted to add a quick experience I had this past weekend with my 2002 2.7 SE. Driving home the other night she started sputtering while accelerating. CEL came on and I read the codes (2) as soon as I got home:
P0068 - Manifold Pressure/Throttle Position Correlation - MAP sensor signal does not correlate to throttle position sensor signal. Possible vacuum leak.
P0108 (M) - Map Sensor Voltage Too High - MAP sensor input above maximum acceptable voltage.

After checking the forums here I figured I'd replace the MAP Sensor ($120). Probably one of the easiest if not THE easiest part to get to on an 02 2.7. Plan on it taking you longer to go to the parts store and come back than it takes to change it. Even if you live next door to the parts store. Speaking of stores, here in SE VA, Advance couldn't order it, PB couldn't find it, Napa is closed on Sundays and an Autozone had it in stock (not closest Autozone of course but in the general area.)

Problem solved instantly (actually after I left the NEG cable off for 15 min. to make sure codes cleared.) Drove it last night & to/from work today and she's happy as ever.

Happy motoring,
DZ Blues

Just had the same codes. Where is the MAP sensor on the 2.7 04 Concorde?

I read this here: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t11105748-...ysler_concorde

It is on the rear of the engine, passenger side. You need to access it from the underside and it is halfway up the block between the head and the oilpan. It is real close to where the engine and transmission meet.

Here: shows it by the dipstick.

Thread on this forum shows it somewhere else and what it shows does not look like the part online or what I bought at the store: It is not a square box.
code 68 & 108

I am not finding it.

I believe the best picture is the second picture in the last link.
That picture shows the location relative to the coolant outlet and bleeder.
In that picture you can see the map sensor connector to the right
of the coolant outlet, just below where the arrow is pointing.

The center link you have is a picture of a 3.2/3.5 map sensor location NOT a 2.7

$120 for a MAP sensor is expensive. Even for a Mopar part. I paid like $5 for an aftermarket one. I have a 2004 Intrepid with the same 2.7 engine your Concorde has. I had a bad MAP sensor last year and I replaced it. It's super easy. You just disconnect the harness and remove 2 screws. I attached a pic that shows where the MAP sensor is.

Thanks! These look clear now where to find. I paid $52 for the sensor from parts store. Couldn't wait around for delivery. Hope it works!
