All you have to do is grab the light fixture & pull hard.. don't be afraid to break it.. & pull.. it'll come down off headliner.. pull the bulbs out.. & then when your done.. just push the fixture back into the clips & your all set.

I have a question, does this "yank down" method work with 1999 Intrepids as well? I can barley even get my little fingers between the roof, and the fixture. I heard the cracking from the roof, and got scared shitless. Don't want to yank the roof down too! LoL

Yes, it is the same proceedure, pull down one side a little at a time and keep alternating. Whatever you do DO NOT USE A SCREW DRIVER OR ANYTHING SIMILAR TO PRY IT OFF or you will be looking for a new headliner. Again they are a bit tight use your finger tips and dont be afraid just jerk down it a bit at a time.

If you guys have an OTIS or an EVIC make sure to remove the screw located in the front of the console first.

I used a straight slot screwdriver to get mine off. I heard some noises, nothing cracked or broke. changed both bulbs out in like 20 seconds.

while ur at it you should get some colored bulbs...i went to blue to match my neons under the dash and seats and its very nice. can't find any blue bulbs to go into the doors tho the ones they have are rated to burn hotter...almost like twice as hot. Would this be enought to melt the housing. i want to get these lights hooked up but i dont' want to trash my door panels.

I find it easy in my 02 to get my fingers under the front of the surround and then swing them to the sides to pull the unit down........ I does take some effort and you do fear the breakage of the unit but it comes right off.

I got natural blue glass apc bulbs in mine and they look good a nice white color but they are kinda dim :( so I'm gonna look around for something brighter.............. oh and if hasn't been mentioned the bulbs should be 194s
