Need some help verifying timing on 2.7 cam
I goofed up and did exactly what I knew I shouldn't do, turn the engine with the cam bolts removed. I need to make sure I have the passenger side cam back where it should be. This engine did not have any gold-plated links on the cam chain, so that doesn't help me. Any ideas?
I think I have it back on where it should be but I need to be certain. Any one have a good diagram?
Can I just put the bolts back in and try to spin it to see if I feel valves binding?
Could I do a compression check and see if they all have compression? If so, would that be conclusive?
