Saved from a RIPOFF!!

Since I royally bent:mad: the hell out of a Motorsports wheel I started shopping around to find a replacement. ALL of the dealers around here were giving me prices over $300. I found this place on line www.mydodgeparts.com He beat the local ripoff dealers here by a huge margin. His price was $213.60 plus $20 to ship for a total of $233.60. He also said that they had a Motorsports car at the dealership that NO ONE would buy with the black rims on it. What the HELL is wrong with people???? He said he just sold all four (since they were officially used)for $400!!!!!!! Hell I would have bought them all for that price. Don't bad timing SUCK??

Oh, yeah I hate it when that happens...
I've recently decided to go with a pure black on black theme with my first gen, so hopefully I can score some nice rims, possibly black, who knows. if not chrome/silver. I might considder powdered white. maybe not.

I found them too a few monthjs ago doing a www search for Chrylser parts. I have bought parts from them once and checked pricing on a couple more items. They consistently undercut local dealers by a bunch even after shipping is factored in (and of course, no sales tax). Easy to deal with - no surprises, very professional, prompt replies to e-mail inquiries.

They are actually McKinney Dodge somewhere in Texas. It's nice to see one dealer that knows how to properly run an internet parts store (so many dealers that do that are total sleezeballs - don't answer e-mails about orders already placed as far as ship dates & out of stock items, don't fix problems with botched shipments or bad parts, won't communicate about returns, etc.).

I saw my first 300 special in person last weekend... its was a really nice dark blue... The first thing i noticed was the 18" rims, then the ground effects... those things are badass.... although i dont really care for the rims - they're nice, but i think they need an 18" version of the 10 spoke chromies from the 98-2000 300's

just my 2 cents.

I hit a pothole. The rim bent but the tire did not deflate. I knew when I hit it that it would be damaged but I didn't stop until I got to work. I drove it home & changed over to my full sized spare. Now the question is, what can I make out of the trashed rim?

Yeah Joekd, John is who I spoke with. He said if you are looking for something let him know & if he comes across a deal he'd email you.

Rims can be rebuilt by a number of companies. Look in the back of Road and Track, as I recall there were a couple of places that rebuild to factory specs for a lot less than a new one!

Don the rim is also cracked. I'm not sure it could be repaired. It would be nice though. I wonder what it would cost? Anybody got a clue?
