Conversion search V8

So I'm new to this forum thing, but I'm trying to get some answers. There are probably many disscussions that have already been preformed on the topic I will be shortly opening, however I do not have the time or patients to read all the past dialogue ever written.

I would like to have a V8 engine in my trep

I'm sick of the lack of power in my car and I want to be able to turn heads but I'll never be able to afford a factory sports car.

It would be great if anyone could give some advice on the giant conversion I'd like to perform on a common sedan with a very small income

I refuse to believe that less fortunate people cannot have access to worldly pleasures or that the common cannot ever be superb. That is my reasoning for this quest to covert a 2001 Dodge Intrepid into a super sports car the a hermit can afford.

Thanks for your interest APL-cede

There was an old thread on another 'LH' forum where a guy had one up and running, he kind of quit posting, not sure what he did about the electronics, of he got a OBDII computer from something to work or if he just used a standalone like megasquirt or if he got some older OBDI stuff to work.
What engine do you have? My Concorde Limited has a 3.5 HO rated at 250hp and it will deffinetly get up and move. Won't run 12s or anything, maybe with a 100 shot, but how fast you looking to go?

There might be an effective but more practical project. Search this forum for 4.0 stroker. Basically it takes a similar Chrysler engine and re-works some things to give it more cubes.

Wonder how well a 3.5 pcm would run a 4.0, I know the 3.2 will run a 3.5, and the turbo guys say the 3.5 pcm and injectors have a little extra fuel with a bigger pump but they are using rising rate regulators. I'm really not sure what the guy that was running the 318 or 360 was doing. Guess you could anyways do a carb but I despise carbs, I hate when guys yank out tbi and put a carb on, it's like you can't figure out what 5 sensors do? On the old K based turbo cars you can just socket the pcm, download a program on your computer, burn it on a new chip and pop it in, if it doesn't run right you have to burn another, but guys have pulled the code apart and you can adjust petty much anything, burn a chip and pop it in, of course this is OBDI. Idk if there is anything out there that you can plug into the OBDII port and just adjust from a laptop.

Wow that's pretty sweet, just running a 3.5 pcm, if not sorry I didn't scroll thru both of those threads yet, they're long...
