My car picks up a lot better now than with the Champion plugs and is a lot more responsive in all situations. The car has a smoooooth idling at red lights and it's so quiet that it sounds like it's turned off but when I accelerate it sounds awesome and it REALLY does accelerate better. Nothing extreme but I CAN REALLY FEEL THE DIFFERENCE. Oh and I replaced all the ignition coil boots with Denso boots which I'm sure helped too. Anywho, I RECOMMEND 'EM.
What's the part number of these iridium plugs? I work at the Autozone and their system says no iridium plugs will fit in the 3.5s.

I think AutoZone might be right.. I checked eBay then Denso & NGK (only brands I trust for iridium plugs). I also checked Bosch, AC Delco, and Champion so I think you're out of luck for the iridium plugs. If you want NGK, the best plug you can get for your 2002 ES is a Laser Platinum plug - part #7781 The only manufacture I didn't check is AutoLite but according to folk here those brand plugs will get devoured by our engine & possibly cause damage.

Narrowed it down for iridium for a 2000 Chrysler 300M with a 3.5 (my engine)

Reviews for these plugs include improvements in response and mileage. I am going to see how hard it is to get them here. I have maybe 5000kms on my current plugs (NGK Laser series), so pending catastrophic engine / electrical issues they shouldn't be to far gone yet.

If I can get these plugs I will be sure to do a comparison and be sure to get some video footage of 0-60 times, and some highway pulls to see if there is a difference.

Edit:
Added them to the cart and did a shipping estimate, and because I am located in Canada, after shipping I will be looking at $107.95 for the 6 plugs. Going to be looking into a local supplier if possible. If they work as good as the claims / reviews, I will buy them and get them for the truck too

H&R over KYB, Garret, RECARO

Those are the plugs I been using. Heard good reviews about iridium plugs but no company makes them for the 3.5 Chryslers.

According to sparkplugs.com Autolite (be careful) and Pulstar make iridium plugs for the 2002 ES 3.5

Autolites are made by Ford. Its a generic Motorcraft plug. I love my trep too much to put a Ford product in it. Pulstars......I might just use them when I do a tune up next time.

NGK Iridium uses the same electrode design as the NGK Platinum. It's a suitable extra long life plug for the 3.x engines. It would not surprise me in the least if they are good for 120-150k.

Maybe this link will help for an iridium plug for the 3.5?

The standard NGK plug for the Special is a ZFR5LP-13G

This link shows a cross reference to a Denso Iridium plug that retails for $9.99

Ronbo if u actually go thru the Denso site and plug in your car's info, which for me is 2000 R/T with the 3.5....it only shows one plug available and its a nickel plug...u think the plug u linked to will actually work ok with the 3.5 engine? Why the hell wouldn't it show the plug u link available for the 3.5 R/T's engine since its the same damn engine in the 300m....hmmm....strange if u ask me....

I cross referenced the NGK plug that comes standard in the Special on the Denso site and it showed the Denso IRIDIUM POWER : IK16 as an Iridium substitute for the NGK ZFR5LP-13G. Plenty of people have used the same NGK plugs in 3.5L engines besides the Special. I don't see any reason the Denso IK-16 would work in all 3.5L LH cars(3.2L also). And they retail for $9.99 which is less than the Pulstars @ $12.99 ea.

That is strange. Also went to the Denso site, and their 5018 QJ16HR-U Nickel Spark Plug shows up for the Special. Went to Amazon, tried DENSO Iridium Spark Plugs IK16 # 5303, and it shows a fit for the car.
Sure enough, checking the specs for both Denso plugs, they are the same, the gap the only difference in specs,.32 for 5018, .44 for the Iridium. Same heat range(16), threads, reach, ect.
Wonder why Denso does not have their Iridium plug pop up for the 3.5 Special on their website?
Some have said some engines do better with a Platinum plug, or even copper. Isn't Iridium a harder material than all of them? I'm sure not a spark plug expert, but get the hardest, smallest electrode in the preferred heat range?
The NGK 7781 Platinum plugs also have identical specs, except the gap at .050. Their NGK heat range shows up as a 5 for the 7781.
