I replaced my Champion platinums, with NGK iridiums in my '04 2.7. Keep in mind that my car is meticulously maintained, so the Champions were only about 20,000 km old. No difference....at all. Gas mileage is the same (maybe a tiny bit worse) starting and drivability are all the same. For the substantial money difference, I wouldn't do it again....at least not with a 2.7. Next plug change, i'll be going back to the Champions. Nothing wrong with the NGK's just offered no improvement.

you can buy the OEM installed NGK (7781) ZFR5LP-13G Laser Platinum Spark Plugs at Advance Auto using online discount codes for about $4.50 each and just pick them up in store. I just bought some about 2 weeks ago.

There is no better plug for the 3.5. And if those were not available I would go with the Champions...

+1 ,,, I like NGK in general but I'd have to agree with the statement above.
If anybody remenbers the Splitfire plug that was marketed in the 90's, it was nothing
special , just a bunch of fancy marketing and a guarantee that if you didn't notice a
difference , you'd get your money back.
Most of us go too many miles on a set of plugs , thats just a given with todays cars.
