Smile Mt name is Codi and I own an Intrepid

I bought a 2003 Intrepid 2.7 new for the wife and use as a family car. Her criteria.......large back seat space and trunk. This as well as the usual comfort stuff. I have two children, one just graduated from college and is looking for a real adult job while the other is a senior in high school and applying to colleges. At the time we purchased the Intrepid, the kids were younger and we traveled quite often so we needed some space, comfort, and a large trunk. In 2003, I learned not all cars had some style and met the above criteria. I was (and still am) impressed by the Intrepid. The car (named "Baby" by my daughter) is now showing signs of age by breaking. In the past two years, I have replaced the water pump, thermostat, and tensioners. Not an inexpensive job. "Baby" also needs a new evaporator, one without pin holes. Now, no heat. Oh well, as for me, I am retired. I spent 33 years as a criminal investigator for a district attorney (can you say CSI). I did it without Hollywood stuff. The wife is a school teacher and still working. I got bored quickly so I began working as a parts driver for a dealership. A few months ago I was recruited to take care of a private collection of antique cars. Yep, me. These are cars that have been restored and have not been driven or started in 2 to 5 years. I clean and polish them then get them running then drive them. They range from a 1908 T Speedster to a 1968 Cutlas S. with a few Pierce-Arrows and Caddy's thrown in. These I can deal with. Computers, not so much.
