Automatic Headlight Switch Installation

Automatic Headlight Switch Production

Disclaimer: These instructions are provided with no
guarantee. The author is not responsible for any damage caused by following
these instructions. Be sure to read through all steps before starting, use the
right tools for the job and above all use common sense.

Tools needed:

1: Phillips Head Screw Driver: Used to remove screws that hold the top of the
witch on and the front.
2: Dremel Rotary Tool Used to remove light switch stopper.
3: Flat Head Screw Driver Used to push in pressure clips.

Headlight Switch

Production Steps:

*For Cars that have Sun-load Sensor on Dash

1: Remove white pressure plug that is closest to the back of the switch. an remove light bulbs, (twist and pull).  And move the circuit board till its standing up
2: Remove white top cover on headlight switch.  It is held on with 2 Phillips screws and two pressure clips.
3: Then unscrew the last Phillips head screw, undo
2 more pressure clips (on the sides of switch)
4: Get Rotary tool read with cutting bit, (looks
like drill bit), and remove stopper, on the inside of the switch.
5: At the bottom of  the switch, remove 1/2
of the fog light stopper if you have an ES or R/T, (if SE skip step) using
the rotary tool.
6: Make sure knob turns past
the 'off' position (towards the left), and re-assemble the switch like it
came out.
