speedometer not working, transmission not shifting

Has anyone ran into this instance? Looks like I'm having more problems then I thought. First I noticed my shift indicator on the dash not working properly, so I bought the input and output sensors in an attempt to solve that problem as I have been advised on here - but before I moved the car to the garage, I figured I would go for a little ride.....so I noticed more starge things, not sure if it would be related to the input/output sensors...but maybe someone outthere knows this......1. I have noticed that my speedometer is not working -- 2.transmission doesnt seem to shift past first gear --- 3.when coming to a stop in DRIVE the engine doesnt seem to stay idle, it dies -I start it back up and works just fine.....PLS HELP!!!! anyone know where I can start????? No light on the dash and there are no codes......

Actually, the transmission is probably in "limp mode" - it starts out and stays in 2nd gear - and the speedometer not working is almost always a sure sign that the output sensor is bad. Go ahead and replace your sensors - I'm pretty sure that'll take care of problems 1 & 2. I don't know what the deal is with the engine stalling but my motto has always been "one thing at a time", especially in these newer cars where everything is interconnected ...

I replaced both input and output sensors - and getting same thing but it did come up with a code P1698(No messages received from the electronic transmission control module or the Aisin transmission controller.) ---

ok..one more favor please, can anyone tell me where this control module for the transmission is located or does it go through the fuse box? Maybe a fuse is blown? or the wire harness for the module not seated properly or something?
