EVIC installed

I hooked up the new EVIC unit with the tire pressure guages that I got from Wire, I didn't use the harness (it is used for the new sun roof controls) I used the older 2000 sun roof contols so I could use my old harness. I will keep it incase I ever change it out. Most functions work great just need a 2002+ BCM now. I just have to be carful not to confuse the tire air pressure readings with the Air strut air pressure readings.

EVIC

I am keeping my eye open for a 2002+ BCM to try it. Or if my goes out I hope to have it replaced under extended warranty. Keeping my lighting at full in etrunal hope. The following works
Trip mileage
Metric/US
Service reminder
Train remote
Tire pressure

Stayed with Factory presets:
Auto door lock
Auto door unlock
Sound horns and lights with alarm set
Head lamp delay
Easy exit seat

Functions that do not work:
Tilt Mirrors

a 2002 BCM will not fit a 99 . They may look the same but the newer one has 4 electrical connection plugs that the 99 does not have .

I have the 2003 wireing BCM/EVIC harness if that is all that is needed. Be prepaired.
Besides If it can be done I will find a way. I noticed the special mirrors are not heated I am hoping I can change out the heated mirrors and put them into the Special's mirror housing.

No you would need to rewire your whole car. FYI you might as well start a new thread since this one is really old.
