There's stuff between the driver's side headlight and the PDC. As you go rearward from the headlight along the fender, it is the first electronic module you hit. Recessed, and standing up like a book. A couple of screws that can be tricky to get to - just take your time.

Thankfully I weasel-worded it. LOL!

TCM's from a salvage yard are something like $25-$50. Get one from any '01 LH car that has the 3.2 or 3.5 engine (www.car-part.com).

It bit the bullet and got totally ripped off, of course. I'm embarrassed to say how much they charged me but at least I get a warranty with it and they checked everything else out. It was the computer that was faulty. Drives like a charm again. Thanks to everyone for their advice.
