I have liked this car since I first saw them in 1992, I saw potential to have a stunning car that had lots of room and power when you need it. I knew I wanted an ES (always buy the top of line) with gray interior. I found mine in April 2001, Candy Apple Red with only 39,000 miles on the clock and leather. Within a few months I had a new stereo, tinted windows, Eibach suspension, and 18 Enkei wheels. I was looking for something on-line one day when I came across DodgeIntrepid.net on google, and the rest as they say is history. I became a member and part of a wonderful on-line community. The people have changed over the years, some left when they bought new cars, new ones were added, but the spirit was always there. I became the PhotoShop guy, the one that could save you money, or cause you to spend too much money.
In 2006, I decided to revitalize my car, I had all the small dings taken out and the car repainted, I changed out the seats for 2nd Gen Intrepid leather, moved up to 20 Chrome wheels, new exhaust, and upgraded the stereo. I just love the looks and compliments I get about an eleven year old four door sedan, one of the best came from a valet at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, when I pulled up, he complimented me on the car, I said please take good care of it he remarked that he saw lots of cars, but not too many that impressed him in how well they were taken care of, he said he was going to park it in the front row that surrounds the valet area, I looked over and the front row was full of Mercedes Benz, Porsches, Ferraris, a Bentley, and a Hummer. My gleaming Candy Apple Red Metallic Tint Dodge Intrepid looked right at home.
Thank you all again for this great honor, the car just got detailed this weekend and is waiting in the garage for Sunday May 6th and Spring Fling XXI.
On the application for the car show, it asked car club affiliation - I proudly listed DodgeIntrepid.Net.
