I have a 1995 Intrepid ES 3.3L. I Just installed a big stereo and my problem is that my trunk is to sealed off so the subs have a lot of pressure on them. The only way i can get them to pump real well is when I open the trunk. Does anyone know a way I can increase my bass without opening the trunk. If you have a suggestion please E-Mail me.

What I did was remove the vinyl and cardboard divider from behind the rear seat armrest. Then I cut the trunk lining material and folded it over the edges. I also took some scrap metal and re-inforced the area around the opening as well.
Allows the bass to travel into the cabin very nicely, and comes in handy now and then when you need to transport somthing long and flexible. :D

You have a rear seat armrest? I assume this is in the middle of your back seat?

Bingo.. Folds right down from the middle of the back seat..
I assumed treps have them as well. I never really checked..

Odd, yes I would have also believed all Intrepids had something as simple as the armrest in the backseat. I've got a 94 ES with it. If anything, they should have given us fold down rear seats, for crying out loud! It's a "family" car.
But I like the idea of removing the backing from the arm rest. Very clever!
