How to flush the Heater Core?

How Is it done? pics would be good. plus detailed info

Since the heater core makes heat from the coolant in the car, I'd assume that you would just flush the radiator with water until it runs clear, then fill it with water and start the car with the heat on, so that the water circulates through the system and flushes the heater core.

But then I might be wrong ;)

actually, its better to disconnect both tubs going into the heater core and take a garden hose and flush out the heater core. Start at one of the connections and then to the next one. Then keep going back and forth each time the water clears up. This will get rid of most of the gunk in there.
