Hi guys,
I am new here, and this is my first post. I don't have an intrepid yet, but I am looking into a 1994 to use for a commuting car. I figured i would ask all of the experts before I buy it. I know it is a good deal, because I looked up the value on Edmunds.com, but I wanted to know from your experiences, what I can look for and what to expect if there are common problems known with this vehicle. I am getting a great deal b/c it is a co-worker and he just wants to get rid of the car to get a new Lexus RX300. The car is a 1994 with about 95,000 miles. It looks pretty good, some fading of the roof paint. Leather int. 3.5 engine climate control, full power, new tires and brakes. The cd in the radio doesn't work, and the power antenna doesn't work, and the a/c compressor is seized. The only other damage is that the car was hit in the rear. It was a pretty soft hit, you cannot really see the damage unless you are right up to the car. During the accident the trailing link bracket broke and needs to be replaced. i already checked the price on that (because it needs to be done right away) it is only about $20 for the bracket and the hardware. Other than that, the car runs perfectly, has an auto starter also! He wants $500 for the car. I figured I can have it completely fixed for about $600 more, so the total cost would be about $1100. What do you guys think, should I go for it, and what common problems can I look for? Thanks in advance,
Chris
