Whenever I let off the brake and the car begins to roll forward on its own power, the car does this little bump-bump-bump thing. Like its rolling over a couple of small bumps before I apply the gas.
Is this something to worry about? Would it be my rotors being uneven, causing the car to bump a bit while rolling forward?
Since you are not braking when you feel this thud-thud-thud, it sounds to me like symptoms of premature ****ing up of the TCM, it sounds like it's trying to go down to the next lower gear (from 3-2, or from 2-1, etc.) and it is having trouble.
But this happens after I have been at a stop. For instance, the traffic will come to a complete stop as it always does on the 93 from Boston. When I let up from the brake to roll forward, the car does that bump, bump, bump before I apply the gas pedal.
If you bounce slightly in your computer chair, that is what it feels like. Could this be a dirty tb? It seems that until I apply the gas, it isn't getting enough fuel to just roll itself forward without application of the gas pedal. Sorry to be so specific, I am sure you understand what I am talking about here.
Not really sure by your description, but it sounds like you may have a fuel delivery problem. Buy some Complete Fuel System cleaner in the gray bottle for $8.99 from pep boys and run it through, let me know the results a month after you let the stuff flow around in the tank.
Uhh, you're not supposed to put in GUNK and drive with it. You have to run it for 3 minutes, and then flush it out through your oil pan and do an oil change, if you run it and keep driving with it, it will eat your engine.
As long as we are shooting the breeze here: Do I have to remove anything or unscrew anything to change out my spark plug wires? I am going to switch to the 8mm ones. I know to twist and pull to get the wires off. I do them one at a time right?
So as not to mess up the firing order.
Ok, drive it for about a month, it should clean some of it out. If you want to further try to help the problem, or help the car in general, have the fuel filter changed and have the fuel lines and pump inspected for well being.
Ok. Will do. I don't know if my car ever had the fuel rails changed from the recall. But I can say that my car always, always has a strong odor or gas for awhile after I fill it. Very unusually strong odor for a long duration.
Yea, have all of those inspected and get back to me with the results, remember, the sooner you do it, the sooner "the mauler" beats that pesky mysterious nissan.
Well, I did continue to pull away from that nissan when we were racing. I didn't say I lost. Anywaaaaaaayyyys..
