This could be either a temp fix or perminte fix to the headlight support tabs breaking off. It's a matter of making a new support brace and attach it to the headlight housing. I do have pic's but left them at work but will post them wed morning. So far I fixed one headlight and seems to be holding up, thought I'm still working on the lower support and finding a way of tighting it down without the brass insert(since they broke off as will).
I thought about fixing my brackets but said screw it and I ordered new ones. My plan is to put a medium on the screws so they do not seize on me next time. I plan on being able to align my headlights so I can see the fu*king road. Right now my beams are pointed up and to my right. Fog lights are my only current means of driving at night, which is about 75% of my driving this being winter and all.
It's not the screws that are breaking the plastic, It's the fact that they put plastic pretty close to the rad and condensor core. It the heat from them that make the plastic brittle and break. Mine were brand new last May, and I noticed they were broken in Oct ( after the warr expired)
If I bought some new brackets, couldn't I seal them somehow to keep them from growing brittle again?
