Well, friday night had my car broken into. Pass front window broken. And my Alpine CDA-7893 stolen. pisses me off to no end. so i guess it's time to deal with the insurance company. woohoo i can't wait... blah. just be careful guys and always take that face off, the one time i leave it on and this happens.....go figure car should be safe in a church parking lot....blah.
Sorry to hear about that but just out of curiosity why would you think your car is safe in a church parking lot... were you expecting god to throw some lightning bolts at the theives?
I put a blanket over my entire dashboard. may look silly.. but if they see NOTHING.. thats better than them seeing anything at all. it also protects my dash against god knows what (I know.. means very little nowadays, but whatever)
well i was being stereotypical by saying parking at a church pakring lots because thats usually known as a safer place. However, i had 2 choices, to park at the run down gass station with boarded uip windows that was all dark, OR the completely lit up church parking lot. I decided the latter was the better choice. err, WRONG. hehe, however the cop said judging how they broke into it only 15 minutes after I left they were prolly following and say me drop the car off there. because i dropped it off, and then 15 mins later came back to get it, and my **** got ****ed up!
I park my car on the streets of philadelphia every single day and go outside to check it hourly. So far the worst ive seen is a car parallel parking really tight behind me. But i hope for the best. Sorry bout your luck.
I work on a military installation. If ANYTHING happens to my Intrepid (inside and out) the base pays for it. Thats right... if my car gets broken into and someone steals my cd's... the base pays for the damage and loss. I always feel safe about parking my car in the parking lot at work. When I come home where I park the trep in the driveway is about 15 feet away from my bedroom window. SO sometimes I like to sit by the window and peak to make sure nobody is near "her".
That stinks that they broke in your car. I am paranoid about having my car broken into, at home I dont live in a bad neighborhood to say the least but people dont like my car idk why and ive had it shoot up with paintballs and had stuff stuffed in the exhuast. At work im always worried because its at a veterans hospital and who know what they may do, also the same when im visiting family in peekskill, not the best city to be in. But the worst is easily at school, in South Orange NJ right out side newark, last year i had it here for finals and some one tried to get into it and screwdrivered the passenger side lock, thank god they didnt get it cuz my **** would have been gone for sure.
thank god that my car has never been broken into, 4 people within 2 weeks had their stereos stolen from my job. i work in inventory so i just park my car all the way in the back next to where we get truck loads of merchandise so i can always hear if my alarm goes off and i check it every time i get a shipment of something, just in case.
