Need help, I was connecting the charger adapter for mi Nextel in the cigarrete lighter port and when I hook the adapter the speakers when out. Right now neither the cigarrete lighter works nor the speakers, the CD player (Infinity) displays all of the functions but no sound is coming out of the speakers.
Is the ground wire of the speakers going thru the cig. lighter ??
Could it be something else?
NOT! Never install a fuse of a rating higher than what is SUPPOSED to be there! If you install the CORRECT fuse and the fuse keeps blowing, there is a reason and it needs to be fixed. If you simply install a higher amperage fuse, to 'keep it from blowing', you are inviting disater. This can include anything from other components on the circuit frying to an electrical fire.
I will try to put the adaptor in the lighter again. If it blows again, then I will buy a home adapter, I think it will be more costly to do some repair to the electrical system than the 15 bucks that the adaptor costs.
Thanks again for the help. This is a Kickass forum.
regards.
Yes, never up a fuse or breaker in any application unless you can reliably measure the amperage load in relation to the guage of the wires.
