Hello, I just bought a 93, Intrepid ES 4 days ago, and already have put over 500 miles on it lol. Had to test it out ya know? I really enjoy the car but the power steering on it is seeming troublesome. In the morning, when it's cold out, I can hear it grinding or making some weird noise when I turn the wheel right underneath my feet. But then after it warms up it doesn't make the noise anymore. Other then that it runs great and has nice acceleration for being a family car. I'm only 17, which means I don't have mass money, but I would like to fix up my car abit, if anyone here has had or has a 93 and knows what looks nice on it could you give me some hints? 0h by the way mine is dark green with the grey stripe down at the bottom.

Thanks,
Tim

Welcome to the site, Tim. Enjoy yourself. I too have that grinding sound before the car warms up in extreme cold as well.

That's a common problem for almost all of the First gens. I dont believe that theres actually a problem there, just the cold getting to the car. It also shouldnt do any damage to the steering.
Other than that, Welcome to the site.

yes that would be kersey, I just moved up here from Tennessee, but I grew up in Philipsburg if you know what that is in pa. Very close to state college actually, only a 30-35 minute drive from there. Anyhow, what's your name if you don't mind me asking.

welcome welcome! Oh yeah, that I believe through a few threads this winter we have figured out that all of us have that sound (all of us first gens anyway?) it's normal, mine did it last year and this year, didn't hurt a thing (to my knowledge! LOL) Have fun around the board!
