Just got in the Meguiars plastix for the headlights, taillights etc. Before this is applied I had recently waxed/polish them. Is it best to remove that if possible? Would like to get them even cleaner with the pastix.

The plastix should take off any wax or polish residue that's on them. However, if you want you can mix up a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water. This will strip basically everything but will not harm or cloud the plastic. Apply this to the lenses and wipe them clean. Just remember if you get it on the paint it will do the same thing... ;)

It would, but the 50/50 mix of alcohol and water is actually less harsh...
