Here's something to throw out there...

Srt-8 versions getting blown 5.7L Hemi ~450HP+ and NOT the 6.1L people are expecting...

Dodge C _ _ _ _ _ r is a go (you know what I'm getting at)

Just got an official unofficial official confirmation on these last week.

Will we see that other car at any of the remaining big car shows this year?

Intrepidatious:

What is with the blank post? You let on to some info on ALLPAR, and then pulled the post back.

Anything you can share?

I had something posting for a minute, but then thought better of it. I don't think my info was propietary, but you can never be too careful.

Cool with that, especially since all the nightmare with Otto and YB.

When will the embargo come off of the info you have?

The reason I ask is that 2 business associates of mine are going to Daytona, courtesy of a large diesel OEM, and they were told by the rep from Atlanta, to expect a big surprise or maybee 2 from Dodge/DC...

One may be the 50 blue w/white strips VCA edition SRT-10 Rams. The drawing for the right to buy one of the first 49 has been done already and now we're just waiting on the results of the raffle for the 50th.

Hopefully, the other surprise will be the Charger.

If a C-car has 450 then the viper would be underpowered.
Isn't about time for the Viper to get 600 hp? (hell go for 750) Can't let GM close the gap with the corvette. or ford with the GT.

The GT has 500 stock, and with more supercharger boost and better intercooling 600 is do-able. The Vette Z06 (7?) is supposed to have 500 NA.

Ford didn't close the gap they killed the magic of the Viper. G.M. will do the same thing for much less cash with the Z06 model of the vette next year. Now the Viper is just another nice car.

Even if Ford has more HP...who cares? Different clients buy $75K cars then ones who buy $150K cars.

The Corvette is the bang for the buck though.

Sounds like DC has won by scaring us all into not posting anything about future models. It's not like any of us went into the secret development areas, took some pics, and ran here to post them.

Jeesh....

I'm so disappointed in us now.

I was told in no uncertain terms by high-ups in PVO that they would not let the Viper's crown be taken from it. Don't worry - the snake will still be on top.

Warlord, i fully agree with you, new info has become seemingly almost non existant here. Even Allpar is only spitting out cryptic bits and peices.

This last go arround with the information police really has people spooked. Lots of hints of big release on Jan 29th, but nothing solid.

Viper may get Hemi-fied 600HP+ version of V10 according to some rumours... may just be rumours but who knows.

And re: C-----R... could very well be a 6.1L Hemi under the hoods of some models and no blown 5.7L... either way the numbers are around 450HP+. Could be that there are different engines for different LX's... too many official but contradictory bits and pieces of incomplete info... but there is a very strong suggestion that it is the 6.1L.

Jan 29th is where official word of 3.8L-4.0L Hemi V6 or I6 should be made public to be built at Trenton engine plant. Rumours suggest that the motor is a 3.8L V6 Hemi motor producing upwards of around 280HP-300HP and will be featured in Pacifica/Minivans/LX cars/and some non-Chrysler group vehicles.
Also rumours of a 3.5L V6 refresh but completely unconfirmed.

I'd rather wait a little extra time than have people lose their jobs.

I thought the info posted was from a public website and not any kind of employee/company only database.

The Viper SRT10 still has 505hp and weighs 3300~, so a probable 3800lb LX with 450 still wouldn't be as quick as the 2-seated wonder.

I don't need to hear about this "C" car.....

almost have the Strat paid off, and planning on getting a certain muscle-wagon in my driveway within a year.

Technically a DC employee can not relay or pass on information not already made public by DC itself. Wether it's been "published" in newspapers, magazines, on the net or where ever, as long as DC didn't release it, it's off limits. As far as anyone else doing it, I'ld say it's open game.
You can piece alot things together from the above sources and although everything I said was speculation, it could turn out to come true. So my interest in DC's future products is somewhat curbed.
But yeah, if they build a C_____r, that would be really cool.

Hell, just get Hennessey's first upgrade kit for the Viper, it takes it to 600 hp and makes it run 11.7s or 11.6s

would you be willing to pay the extra $70,000 for about 10 hp, when you could get that upgrade for $19,000 and be at 600?
and the corvette is and most likely always will be the best bang for the buck, since they stopped doing limited production
