Its not a new concept, some of the old shelby cobra's were polished. Ford's new shelby GR-1 concept is also polished aluminum.

As far as doing it, you would need aluminum body panels (including bumpers), and absolutely no body filler. Many cars come from the factory with small amounts of bondo, which could be an unpleasant surprise when you strip all the paint off.

Can you imagine trying to keep scratches off the body????

The glare from that car will probably drive the other motorists insane.

Which is precisely why it's illegal in NA. And, why some old fighter planes were buffed up like that.

I've posted this before, but you could get "chrome" paint from ALSA Corp (http://alsacorp.com/index.htm)

Even get diffrent colors by adding a "candy concintrate"

The old fighter planes were like that, especially WW2 just before D day because they were making them so fast and they figured they had such air superiority near the end that they didn't need to bother with paint or camoflauge. same thing with the F86 Sabres in the Korean war....they figured with a 7 to 1 kill ratio, they didn't need to bother with camo.... :D
