cold weather problem

Have a 95 intrepid 3.3L.
In cold weather it takes more than 5 minutes until I can drive the car, before that it just stay. In summer it is just fine.

Just found one of the transmission pipe is leaking, not big though. Does it have anything to do with it?

Start by fixing the leak and topping off the fluid level.
Low fluid or the wrong fluid can damage the trans(do not overfill, this can cause piss poor operation also). Check fluid level when hot. Hot means after at least 15 miles of driving. If problem is still there then a fluid and filter change may help.

In cold weather the trans fluid will become more viscous, but not to the extent where it should effect your car. But a leak can make the trans fluid even colder, which will make it tougher on the transmission. its like putting maple syrup on dry turkey meat... you dont it to be any more chewy than it already is...
