Ok my brother (A solid 4 cyl Ford Ranger man He gets hot and heavy for the BMW 760LI (not available to late fall) ) says that owning 2 or more Dodge Intrepid Es' in the second generation body style, is weird, but i dont think that it is.

wait a minutes, i've seen a BUNCH of these new (supposedly not available till late fall BMW 740LI's both in Lou, Ky and in NYC .
and don't tell me to stay off the crack, cause i'm 100% sure of what i've seen :D

now to u'r original q.....
i guess it would depent on a person.
i would NOT own 2 of the same cars, not unless they'r 2 Corvettes, or 2 Cobra R's, or 2 Ferrary's, or 2 Lambo's, or 2 M3's, etc. :D (ofcourse they'll all be of different color)
but definently NOT 2 regular cars

They are both Es's but they are diff colors and diff options.

Well if my wife said that she'd want a 2000 SE. I'd say go for it! I'd think that it would be cool.

After I have a steady job, I wouldn't mind starting a little Fiero collection.

I dont think its weird at all! My wife has a Black 97 Trep. 3.5. I've been thinking of trading my truck in on an Intrepid, but I've also been thinking of getting an Avenger.

I wouldn't mind two or more Dodge chargers :)

Maybe an all black semi drag setup 72, and a general lee themed 69ish or so :)

I would own as many tricked out race Vipers as I could afford!

My wife is thinking about getting a 300M as soon as her 00' chrysler voyager is paid off, that almost like 2 of the same.

I plan on having a few 1995 Probe GTs, with possibly a '93 thrown in for autoxing. Not to mention my fiancee's 94 GT.

I think owning two of the same car is OK in certain situations.

1. They cant BOTH be base models
2. At least one model has to be a special type (like the Trep R/T)
3. Having more than one special model (like several different years or colors) is OK
4. If it has a stock turbo or supercharger
5. If it is rare
6. If it is valuable.

These are things that I would base my decision on. I would like to have another Spirit R/T in white or silver. Actually, any turbo Dodge would be good.

I own a 1975 Chevolet Nova and I 1986 Nova.

The 86 might as well be a Toyota so they don't disgrace the Nova name, but oh well. I can say I own two Novas! :D

I say that it is excellent. That way there should not be any difference when you go from your primary car to the second car.

My bro and I both have SXT's his is a year older. I got a 04 and he has an 03. Everytime my friends or his friends come over, they say it's tight. So, it def. cool to have two treps!

There's nothing inherently wrong with it, although I don't know if I'd want to do it (just because of the lack of variety). Still, there's logic in sticking with a product that's been good for you.

are you kidding me?
hell frigin yeah i'd own two Intrepids
i want to start my own collection for christ sakes...
it'd be sweet, drive a different color with slightly different stuff about it every time
like have a base with the 2.7 for gas milage on highway trips, but upgrade it with an EVIC, Autoheadlights, Leather, etc etc
then a 2002 R/T because frankly who doesnt want one of those...
a 2003-4 SXT just to have a pretty damn new car to race around in (i'd turn it into a drag car like the Red Baron)
and of course my 2002 ES because i frigin love my car and i'd probably use it as my daily driver

actually, i wouldn't even have a problem with them all being silver, then put the same spoiler on all of them, hell frigin yeah, itd be like having 4 of the same car, nobody could tell them apart...

I'd own two of these in a heartbeat - even if they were exactly alike!

Hell ya I would own two Intrepids Even if they were the same year and color. But one would have to be a higher model (ES,R/T,or SXT). Hell I already own two Camaros, one is a 1987 and the other is a 1971 SS Event thought the '71 is in pieces.

Im buying a 95-98 Talon/Eclipse next spring; having 2 would be pretty kool. Make one all show, and the other all go :D

I'd say if you have two daily drivers in the same household the same, it would be ghey. We have an Intrepid & a Durango, so we have a vehicle for almost any situation depending on what we're doing or where we're going or how much cargo we're carrying.

It's really a matter of preference. Personally, if I wanted two large family sedans I'd take my dad's approach...black 300M and a green Intrepid ES. Variety, people...it's the spice of life.

Only 2?? At two times in my life I've owned more than one car of the same model and year. In my younger days, I owned 3 (all drivable) '68 Mustang fastbacks at the same time. Just a few years ago, I owned 4 '88 Thunderbirds....2 Sport...2 Turbo Coupes...all drivable as well. The more, the merrier!

I would most definately own 2 Intrepids or another LH car at the same time. What I would like to do is add a 02 R/T or 03-04 SXT to add along side my 96 ES. (which is a keeper) ( I would have to have different generations tho)

I am still trying to decide when the lease is up on my 04 hemi ram, if I am going to add another member of the LH family to my household. I have cargo vans for my line of work so I don't reallt need a pick-up.

Personally, I wouldn't own 2 of the EXACT same cars. My dad wanted an '02 Inferno Red Intrepid R/T, and that would've been SWEET. Anyways, if I get another Intrepid, it'll be a 1g ;)

at one point in time i had 3 3000GT's, one auto, one stick and one vr4 spyder.

I wouldn't mind owning 2 lh models though.

This is true. My Dad & I have two '69 Roadrunners and two '02 35th Anniverary Camaros. Nothing wrong with having duplicate "toys"!

At the same time? I would only do it if it was a project to upgrade/fix one car with components from the other. I don't know if I could have two vehicles exactly the same...... that's kinda like incest!

One is red w/a white top & white interior - the other is orange w/a black top & black interior ...

I would like to own 3 myself. I have the RT awesome car! I would like to also have a 2002 300m Special and a 2004 ES. Weird maybe, but how weird would it be in 20 years when they are all worth a mint? Still the nicest car I have ever owned and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Soon I will be taking possesion of an '85 T-bird Elan-kinda rare, even more rare is the lack of rust. It is the only T'bird of that era I've ever seen with actual vent windows in the doors, aka no-drafts. Only one of them though(freakin hijacker). On a redeeming note, In the past I've had 6 80's era Monte Carlos and an '87 Regal T-Type, no more than 2 at once though, and always regestered and such-not running a junkyard here.
