Tomorow I will give my pride and joy her 'end of summer' cleaning. I will scrub the carpets and all then do the outside. I wanted to know, I will first wash her then use the clay bar. What do I do after I use the claybar? Can I use Meguiars paint cleaner then a good wax? Also, can someone reccomend a good wax/protectant? Thanks guys..

If you have the time and want to go full out...I would recommend the following:

1 Dawn dish washing soap wash (Dawn will take off all remnants of old wax...not a daily washer but great for when you want to start from scratch)
2 Clay bar
3 Light wash to get any clay bar crud off
4 I do not think you will need a paint cleaner at this point as the clay bar should do the trick.
5 A good polish (Meguiars Krystal polish or show car glaze or a 3M product) (do not skip the polish...this is what will make your car shine)
6 Two light coats of wax (I would recommend Meguiars #26 if you can take the time to wax every month or a good polymer like Liquid Glass or Meguiars #20 if you only want to wax once every 3-4 months)

whatever you do, DON'T use eagle one's "wax as you dry" spray...the stuff is crap and you really don't end up saving time or effort...i learned my lesson; any carnuaba wax and elbow grease should take care of her...

I recommend Meguiars deep crystal wash.
Wash the car through and through.
Then get mothers 3 step wax. (comes in three seperate red bottles :)

I got great results with the wax-as-u-dry stuff, not as good as with hand wax but it works good. I hand wax every 2 months now and use the wax-as-u-dry all the other times i wash

Same here, i don't have access to a place to do a "good" washing job, so i use the Wax as u dry every time i wash. It works wonders. But it wouldn't be a good choice for this guy's application.

I would clean it up real good with Meguiar Deep Crystal Wash, then use a clay bar and then wash it again, just not as thorough.
Then I would use Meguiars paint polish, and then Meguiars Carnuba Wax to help shine and seal. Then get the Gold Glass Meguiar Wax to finish it off.

Yeah, I did it all today (sunday).. I am really happy with the way it turned out. Washed with Dawn to remove and old wax, also used that eagle 1 a2z stuff for the wheels.. Works really well. Then I used the clay bar.. Then meguiers Krystal Polish then Meguiars #26. Alot of work. Took me like 6 hours cuz I did the inside also and took my time. I hope to have pics up tomorow along with pics of the white euro reverse gauges and the alluminum bezel 'cover' I also put on.. Thanks for the info guys.. It was much appreciated.. :+).. Oh yeah, my car thanks you too.. As does my wallet which I saved $125 by not going to the detailer.
