I was driving down the road today, about 30mph, when all of a sudden, my engine stalls, and the Check Oil light turns on. I found this odd cause the previous day I had gotten an oil change, and the day before that had just gotten a tuneup done on my car.
So, I checked my oil and it was very low, so I added three quarts(all I had availble) and it was filled past the max. When I went to start it again, It feels like it is sooooo close to starting, like the sound you hear just before the whoosh of the engine turning on its own.
Im thinking that my fuel pump went out on me...Im praying that I didn't sieze up my engine with the whole oil light thing.
Anyone experience similar problems?

You might want to check the Timing belt, I've had the same problem 2 months after I bought my car
Whait, what year is your car........ miles ????

When you had the tune up done did you have the fuel system cleaned? I've seen this before, it happened to my parents car. would just stall and it would take a while to start and then stall again a few minutes later. If I remember right it was the thottle body, not the injectors.

I had a similar problem however I doubt it's a timing belt. 2 weeks ago I had to replace my water pump among with timing belt and oxygen sensor, I also had to flush my coolant system. Anyways I spent over 800$ for all the repairs but a week later I found out another problem : while stoping on red light or just holding a brake pedal I felt my car shaking more than normally and after that the "low oil pressure" light comes on and the engine just shuts down, when I turn it on again it works for 2-3 seconds and turns off again. I've been told that it could be due to the cold weather and not enough gas in the tank which gets frozen and does not go to the engine. But today was +5 and I filled my tank till full, the problem is still there. After standing for a while a car is drivable for a few minutes only and the whole thing repeats again, Please help ! Is this a gas pump? If yes how do I replace it?

Maybe water in your gas? The gas itself won't freeze at normal temps, but any water in there could give you trouble. Try a gas anti-freeze from STP or one of the others.

it turned out to be a fuel pump, now it's replaced and works fine so far, it has been a second day..Now a question, how long is the life of fuel pumps approx. I took the used one with one year warranty..mine went at 93 000 km, so when should I expect another problem with it?
