Okay, I've seen a million discussions on the new charger/300N but haven't heard anything about the intrepid for the next model year. Are they shelving the Intrepid for the Charger? Or is it just the same thing so no one's really talking about it?
Is the Hemi coming to the Intrepid? That would be kick ass!
The name Intrepid is most likely gone. Magnum is the name for the new wagon, but the sedan so far is nameless (??) It may also be called Magnum for all we know.
But, even without the name, Dodge/Chrysler is still going to have a full size 4 door, which is what this site is all about anyways. :)

I disagree this board is not about full size 4 door Dodge sedans it's about the Intrepid/LHS car line. That's gone after 2004.
I wonder how long this board will last after the Intrepid is discontinued...

Pick up either the January or February issue of Car and Driver. It has the new Magnum shown on the cover. That thing is truely, as they said in the article, the anti-Intrepid. It's cab-backward and what have you. Long ass hood, but I'd expect that with a 5.7L Hemi under the hood. I'd buy it, but for $33k as they were saying, it's a little expensive. I'll probably end up buying a used second gen instead. I don't particularly like the Magnum's look. It reminds me too much of a Merc wagon. If that's what I want, I'll go to a Merc dealer, not Dodge...sorrry guys, but I think DC is making a big mistake with the Magnum. I'd buy it for the engine, but nothing more.

Here's a link to the new Magnum's info: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/previews/2003/february/0302_preview_magnum.xml?&keywords=nl0116maint&page=1
It's my presumption from this article that the Magnum will be the replacement for the Intrepid, with this SRT-8 being the top model...I can't say whether that is truely the case or not, but it certainly seems likely. That's all I really have to say about it for now.

The Magnum Allsport is not the Intrepid replacement. The intrepid replacement will not be made till 2005 as a 2006 model and it will most likely be called Charger or maybe Challenger. The Dodge version of the 4dr sedan might just be called a Dodge 300.
