View Full Version : Would You Buy a BodyKit for 94-97 LHS/ New Yorker???

Need at least 10 people for a "group buy" of a ground effects body kit for 94-97 LHS/ New Yorker/ Concord models. Details are as follows:

This is for all the 1st gen. (94-97) LHS/ New Yorker/ Concord owners: I'm trying to get AT LEAST 10 people that are interested in adding a new look to their LHS cars. I'm in the process of negotiating with a body kit manufacturer, to fabricate a "complete ground effects body kit for the 94-97 LHS cars. If you're like me...you've probably searched the net over and over for mods and kits to enhance the performance or looks to the LHS. And sadly enough, there are only a handful of minor mods that we can come up with. Well here's our chance to get that one-of-a-kind appearance that we all deserve. If you guys and gals have done any research on body kits (Accords, Maximas, Integras, Cavaliers, PT Cruisers...the list goes on) you know that body kits can be expensive, especially when getting a complete kit. They can start out at about (for example: take the 95-99 Maxima body kit by Sarona----sale price of $1050/ $1300 regular price "as quoted on custommaxima.com") That includes front bumper, rear bumper, and side pieces.

I've arranged for us LHS owners to experience the privilegde and luxury of owning a make-over for our "LHS beauties" for a not-so-staggering price of $675 for a complete kit containing: front facia (bumper), rear facia, and side pieces, plus $130 shipping, totaling $805 for each kit. Not too bad for LHS owners who don't have much to choose from when speaking of ground effect kits.

Requirements of group purchase:

1. At least 10 people willing to buy (all buyers must approve of rough draft sketches and drawings prior to purchasing, and group must agree to purchase the same style kit for all years 94-97) Rough draft sketches of various styles will be posted once I give the manufacturer the "thumbs-up" to e-mail me the drawings--once I have allocated 10 potential buyers.

2. Your shipping address must be a business address, for example (you may opt to have your kit shipped to your work or a body shop that you're familiar with. Or, one option that I'm using is that I have a P.O. Box that accepts Ground and Air shipments for me, from carriers like Fed EX, UPS, etc. Check with your local "Mail Boxes Etc." or similar mail office. Make sure that it is one that allows and accepts large packages such as a body kit--before buying or renting the P.O. Box.

3. Group orders will need to be pre-paid before hand. We are asked to allow 5-7 weeks for them to make the kits and they can begin shipping out the kits to group buyers.

4. (Also, if any of you are very good artist that would like to render sample drawings or sketch ideas for a body kit(s), feel free to e-mail them to me at iceberg_info@yahoo.com
Also if you're interested in getting a body kit for your LHS, leave your name and email address with me at: iceberg_info@yahoo.com

I'll keep everyone posted!

Hope we get enough people.....
Thanks.

I would only do that if the car would still look classy, and I'm a fraid I haven't seen a body kit yet that helps a car look classy. They all have cow pushers on the front and all kinds of fake brake cooling ducts and shit like that. No thanks.

Trust me, I know and agree with what you're saying. The LHS/ New Yorker/ Concord are luxury-sports sedans, but there are some luxury cars with a serious sports "flare" to them -- without sacrificing the luxurious theme. If there was a kit that would retain the luxurious look and feel of the LH cars, while providing an extra ounce of sportiness to it (and without over-doing it)....wouldn't you consider buying one. I'll give you all a few prime examples of fine luxury cars with nice body kits which allow the luxury look to still shine through: Just go to my picture gallery. (Just in case I'm unsuccessful at uploading images to my pic gallery....go to the links below for my "prime examples" And then get back to me with your comments on the examples I've chosen. A body kit that fits the LHS won't fit a Concorde.

Actually, the kits would be a universal fit --all owners would be replacing the front bumper fascia that would simultaneously fit the LHS, Concorde, & New Yorker. This also goes for the rear bumper as well. Although the OEM bumpers of all 3 cars vary in looks, and shapes.....they all detach from the car at the same location. The LHS and Concorde share much of the same components that (if one wanted to....he/she could actually attach the front door of a Concorde onto an LHS and vice versa, with no problem)--the only thing that would make it "obvious" is the door molding. But in summary, the kits would fit all three styles of cars. I'm trying to make this "happen" guys (and girls). If you've seriously been thinking and/or wishing that there were more cosmetic mods "out there" for us....then here's a chance for us to be noticed. I can feel the comradery (or I think its spelled camaraderie)---well anyway--I can feel the "car-club" closeness that the members share on this forum. I'm just trying to fill in a "void" for us LHS, New Yorker, and Concorde owners. The Intrepids have their body kits (plural-meaning more than one), so why can't we. We shouldn't have to settle with just H.I.D. light bulbs, windshield washer lights, a drop-in K&N filter thats hidden from view-or-a cold air filter kit made for a Honda Civic. Those are all ....frivolous things (and trust me, I am grateful for 'em) but c'mon guys.....hows about something that was made specifically for the LHS, New Yorker, and Concorde. A company WILL manufacture a kit for a certain group --if there's enough demand. Just remember the old addage: "The skeaky wheel gets the oil..." So lets speak up, guys!

I thought the bumpers were different lengths between the concorde and lhs. But you could be right. I'd love to buy a kit, count me in. But I want to see a design first. I like some of those pics that you posted of the other cars. Something that isn't the "big mouth" look is good.

I agree, the big mouth look --makes it look like a fish's mouth or something.
The concorde's bumper and LHS bumper are different lengths, but the kit will be manufactured to have a universal fit (mounting design) that would fit either car.

And thanx for your vote SoBL94 !!
