Does anyone have any idea if Dodge will ever bring back Autostick for the Intrepid? I think that this was one if it's best features, yet they discontinued it...

Paul ottowrkr 05-15-2003, 11:45 AM Since this is the last year for the Intrepid (2004) I would say NO YB Normyl 05-16-2003, 03:25 AM You can always convert yours to autostick. Snorton Norton 05-16-2003, 06:54 AM Autostick may not be available on the latest/ending Intrepids, but Autostick is alive & well throughout the entire line of higher performance DC products, and won't go away anytime soon. Electronic/Tiptronic/Autostick/etc./etc. - whatever ya want to call it, it IS what every major manufacturer wants! zonian 05-20-2003, 07:45 AM I have a 2000 ES with autostick, and I love it. I went to a dealer the other day to upgrade to a 2003, and was disappointed to find out that this feature was not available. The dealer said that the feature was discontinued and "replaced" with the high-output 3.5L engine...I told him that "This is America, and I'd like to have both!" Wrong! Totally wrong! Doesn't the 2003 SXT have Autostick? zonian 05-22-2003, 03:54 PM I don't think A/S is avail on the 2003 SXT (at least I have never seen it). Your reaction to the dealer's comments are exactly what mine were...since when does engine size or power make up for the flexibility of a "manual" xmission? Paul So the dealer is telling you that the 3.5L HO replaced the Autostick? Ummmmm....me don't think so. I have a 2000 R/T which uses the 3.5L HO and I have Autostick. zonian 05-22-2003, 11:31 PM I'm jealous... YB Normyl 05-23-2003, 05:51 AM Autostick left with the R/T as far as the Trep goes, the 300M still has it though. outlaw44 05-31-2003, 02:34 PM lack of autotsticks were part of cost cutting one of the little difs between sxt & r/t |
