seems to me that I heard they should be 90 ft lbs, but I know for a fact that the tire shop that rotated and balanced my wheels torqued them to 80. The manager questioned the guy doing it and I heard his reply. I had asked them to not use an air gun, so the guy used a hand torque wrench. Good for him, it's nice to see that some people actually listen to customers.

Don, you might wanna get those on a little tighter! I asked the same question on the old dodgertclub and I think it was Kelly with a service manual that replied to me and he said they should be on at 95-100 ft lbs. I always use a hand torque wrench when I rotate my tires and have been putting them on at 95 ft lbs.

Just about any aluminum rim should be 95 - 110. Only the small ricers go to 80. That is what we are taught at my tire shop. We have a chart on the wall listing every vehicle. and what torque it should be. I checked it out.

Well at work we torque all of your testing cars "Including the 2000 intrepids" to 90Lb. So 90LB is fine.

Yep, its exactly 100ft.lbs (135N.m) from the service manual.
They recommend a "progressive" tightening.
First to 85, then the rest of the way. Cross pattern all the time.
