Most of these are not powerful enough to even flow the amount of air needed by most engines. Let alone create boost.
The only electric superchargers that work are made by Thomas Knight. They run around $2,000, and can only be ran at 15 seconds at a time. You're on your own for fuel support.
I say that a real turbo would be a better option, if you want forced induction. Don't even think about doing it yourself, unless you know how turbo systems work, how to install them, and what fuel upgrades and controllers would be needed. Otherwise, just stop by a local good speed shop, and they should be able to do everything for you.
Nitrous is also a good option. Just go wet if your going over a 50 shot. Have it professionally installed. Lay off the button during shifts and launches.
