Detroit News has this dopey married couple that reviews vehicles. She rates the Magnum a "3 out of 5", preferring a minivan. He rates the Magnum a "4 out of 5", asking for a third-row seat.

HE: I’ll tell you what. Most guys I know will like that attractive $22,495 sticker on the base model, but wait till they find out it comes with an anemic 190-horsepower 2.7-liter V-6. Good grief.
That’s barely enough to propel a vehicle that weighs nearly two tons. A step up to the mid-level Magnum SXT gets you a 250-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and a four-speed automatic, which is a little better, but still underpowered if you’ve got more than one or two adults on board.
The only way to sell this station wagon is to make the Semi Hemi a $775.00 option on the base model. The R/T is just way too expensive for a Chrysler.

HE: I’m still not sure who’s going to buy this big Dodge wagon — maybe cool dads with young kids . . .
Hey, that's me!!
