Nah...I wouldn't say American cars are generally faster. For performance we have the Corvette, Viper, F-Body twins, and Mustang.

The Brits have all the Lotus iterations cars from TVR, Jaguar, Aston Martin...hell even some models of Bentley or Rolls Royce could give a smack to a lot of our cars. Not to mention the UK as well as most of Europe gets to have exotics from Japan and other netherworlds we can only salivate over.

Yeah the MK5 Cos is similar to the American version of the WRX, only difference being it was a 2 door hatch (3 door?) and the last one rolled off the line in early 1995.

Look at the records. Many more Canadians and Brits layed down thier lives for the world (the sorry state it is now) than did Americans.

British and Canadian troops were used in more critical battles, and ended up winning more of those battles than Americans did in their own.

My grandfather likes to relate his experience from WWII buy telling how he, his division, my British uncles and thier divisions would consider the American troops clean up crews.

The Brits and Canadians would do all the work, all the dieing and the Yanks would come along and clean up the remainders as well as the glory.

All the reading I have done about the war (which is pretty extensive), as well as interviews with vets relate the same thing.

No offence Warlord, but it sounds as if you have a Hollywood education when it comes to military history.

AS for kicking people's asses, it seems like the only nations the USA likes to pick on are comparably defensless ones, and ones who have no regard in world opinion, like Iraq.

Well Iraq did threathen the World's oil supply, which we Americans love so much! We complain when gas is approaching the $2.00/gallon mark. If Iraq held most of the oil supply, who knows what we would be paying now! I agree that there is a lot of things that the American government does that stinks worse than my asshole. We complain about countries poor human rights record and when it comes to Iraq and Serbia we bomb them, but when it comes to our friends the Israelis we ignore what they are doing to the Palastianians. We also ignore one of the worst offenders in China because we don't want to piss them off.

I never said that American soldiers had the most casualties. Hell, I think that goes to the Russians. But who provided a lot of the weaponary and equipment in the war? America. I don't think Germany would have won if America never got involded because of the Russians. But from what I have heard (show on the Histroy channel and stuff, not Hollywood movies, and I have even did some reading) Russia would have basically taken over Germany's role as trying to dominate the world.

Not defensless at all. Iraq had the FOURTH largest army in the world! They had one of the most state of the art air defense systems in the world. They had state of the art Russian equipment. With the exception of Iraq's Republican Guard (which was only a small portion of the whold Iraqi army), the Iraqis where poorly trained and had very low moral.

Being the left winger that I am, I consider socialism to not be too terrible of a thing. On paper it works beautifully, it is only horrid when put into practice.

Marxist theory dictates that to rid a nation of capitalism, one must be willing to accept and implement a totalitarian regime for the good of the people. The state must controll all industry, agriculture and business. Once the goals of the regime are met, through natural progression of the revolution, the regime will become no more and pure socialism (people for people) will rein.

Of course that last part has to rely on the willingness and dedication of the regime leaders to the "cause." Unfortunatley humans being the power hungry creatures that they are can't rid themselves of that power once they have it.
