I just read in I believe MotorTrend that Chrysler is planning on creating a 300 SRT-8 with a 6.1 liter Hemi and something like 440hp? Anyone know if this is fact or fiction? Cause if it's true, I'll start saving for the down payment now.

However, we think that the SRT-8 will get a blown version of the 5.7L with about 425HP, not the 6.1L.

Rumors abound in many different ways but the 6.1 is a real deal. Whether it is part of an SRT is yet to be determined.

Current Hot Rod Magazine has an article about the 5 cars that Detriot must build. Among them is a SRT-10, that's right I said "10", 300C. They speculate that Chrysler will force the Viper V-10 into the engine bay.

I got a $200 and something increase going from the Intrepid to a G35... I assume the difference was just the higher replacement price of the vehicle... I am suprised that your insurance increase is that low but I wouldn't expect it to be huge. What you don't want (and I don't think this will happen) is for the insurance companies to reclassify your car as a sports car. Then you are screwed on insurance.

You know I don't really like the way the car looks but if it had enough horsepower I might consider buying one... but hey if they do this are you going to be looking at a 50K price tag like the Cadillac CTS?
