GarnetRed_IntrepidES 07-20-2001, 11:13 PM Just went over 50K on my 2000 ES. Runs like a dream. I figured the reason I bought it was to DRIVE it...not look at it in the driveway. I'll fix my signature after I spend my tax refund. TehKing 07-24-2001, 11:39 AM I just passed the 117,000 in my 1994 LHS and it is running like a dream. Only complaint is fuel economy...I only get around 275-300 miles a tank in city driving. (Not WOT all the time too.) Methinks I have to change the fuel filter as I've done everything else. Or perhaps that is normal mileage for an LHS? Brian98es 07-24-2001, 01:22 PM almost 75k on my 98 ES Mopar4U 07-24-2001, 02:20 PM 125,001 Miles on my 95 3.5L AND STILL HAVE 1 YEAR OF PAYMENTS LEFT  Mopar4U 07-24-2001, 02:43 PM Originally posted by LHSer: Only complaint is fuel economy...I only get around 275-300 miles a tank in city driving. Buschman Intrepedation 07-27-2001, 07:30 PM Brand spankin' new (at least to me) 2000 Intreped SE 28,800. Beautiful willow green with camel interior. She's definately a she. Sleek and sexy! But I will say this the handling was soooooo sweet after that :) Buschman Si 07-31-2001, 03:49 PM My handling right now is appauling, I am going to try and do them myself, for the learning experience etc.. :) I cant do the struts though :( jnutz 07-31-2001, 07:19 PM Originally posted by Si: My handling right now is appauling, I am going to try and do them myself, for the learning experience etc.. :) I cant do the struts though :( Really an easy thing as long as you have an adjustable over an inch or wrenches, I think you need an 1 1/8 or 1 1/16 and an 1". Besides that you will needan 18 mm, a 19mm, and a decent hammer. I am assuming that your driver's outer tie rod is bad. Loosen the jam nut that connects it to the adjusting sleeve. Remove the 18mm nut from the bottom of the tie rod. Pound on the knuckle with the hammer a few times, you're going to have to really hit it. The tie rod should pop up. Knock it the rest of the way out, and spin it off. Some say count your turns or else measure the length of threads. Put the new one on the same amount showing. Only difference is that the new nut for the bottom of the tie rod will probably be a 19 mm. Wait maybe it was 17mm and 18mm. Either way. Then take it to a shop and have the struts done then aligned. Best to do all at the same time because each requires an alignment. I will say that these are one of the worst cars to align. If you have access to a torch get it and heat the jam nut and adjusting sleeve before you start. Oh, so much easier. Hope this helps. From the Tire shop of jnutz austinreed21 07-31-2001, 11:30 PM I have 231,000 miles on my 1993 dodge intrepid ES, and it has all original everything, no engine problems ever. It is a great car Si 08-01-2001, 09:52 PM Jnutz... thanks for the info and time taken for instructions, I am going to take the Concorde in to the dealer for a TSB (Driver side chair) I might just ask them to fix it for me, I already have the part... My wife`s car needs it to, thats an Escort, and not my baby, so I can afford to go wrong on that :) hehehehe Again, thank Jnutz I printed your instructions and put in car file. robin 08-03-2001, 12:23 PM Holy schnike's AUSTIN, you must be top dog for the most miles. I hope to keep going to at least 200K. What the heck, it's free. The car was totalled this summer by hail, so I just took the payout and kept driving her. Not quite as pretty, but still a great car.
