I just passed the 117,000 in my 1994 LHS and it is running like a dream.

Only complaint is fuel economy...I only get around 275-300 miles a tank in city driving. (Not WOT all the time too.) Methinks I have to change the fuel filter as I've done everything else.

Or perhaps that is normal mileage for an LHS?

Really an easy thing as long as you have an adjustable over an inch or wrenches, I think you need an 1 1/8 or 1 1/16 and an 1". Besides that you will needan 18 mm, a 19mm, and a decent hammer. I am assuming that your driver's outer tie rod is bad. Loosen the jam nut that connects it to the adjusting sleeve. Remove the 18mm nut from the bottom of the tie rod. Pound on the knuckle with the hammer a few times, you're going to have to really hit it. The tie rod should pop up. Knock it the rest of the way out, and spin it off. Some say count your turns or else measure the length of threads. Put the new one on the same amount showing. Only difference is that the new nut for the bottom of the tie rod will probably be a 19 mm. Wait maybe it was 17mm and 18mm. Either way. Then take it to a shop and have the struts done then aligned. Best to do all at the same time because each requires an alignment. I will say that these are one of the worst cars to align. If you have access to a torch get it and heat the jam nut and adjusting sleeve before you start. Oh, so much easier. Hope this helps. From the Tire shop of jnutz

Jnutz... thanks for the info and time taken for instructions, I am going to take the Concorde in to the dealer for a TSB (Driver side chair) I might just ask them to fix it for me, I already have the part... My wife`s car needs it to, thats an Escort, and not my baby, so I can afford to go wrong on that :) hehehehe Again, thank Jnutz I printed your instructions and put in car file.

165,000 miles on my 93 Dodge Spirt V6 (Don't Laugh, it's a reliable car)

Actually, I've raced Civic SI's in the Spirt and dogged then from light to light. That V6 has alot of torque for a light car. I do lose at parkway speeds though due to the limitations of the 3 speed automaticd tranny. But to each there own.

24,000KM ON MY 2000 ES purchased new. Had all the door weather stripping replaced, all had shrunk(the ones on the body) Both front abs sensors replaced.Front sway bar linkage.Rad bleeder valve, the one on top of the rad was leaking. One ES door emblem was peeling, replaced.Replaced the dimmer-light swich, trying to correct the intermitent flashing of my interior lights, which is still ongoing.Had all this done prior to my warranty running out last March. No problems since ,except for the odd interior light flash.

My '96 "Trep has 155K to date. Very little trouble with this car; inner tie rod ends and struts at 124K, starter at 75K, getting code now that it needs an O2 sensor. 3.3 engine still getting 4K miles to a quart of oil, never a glitch from the tranny. I hope to keep going to at least 200K. What the heck, it's free. The car was totalled this summer by hail, so I just took the payout and kept driving her. Not quite as pretty, but still a great car.
Just bought an '01 ES with 21K miles. Lots of improvements over the '96, particularly in the wind noise and road noise department. Love that autostick.

I got 93k on a 95 with a 3.5--- beacuse none of my girlfriends live close,,,I put in a timing belt/water pump/tensioner at 89k because the pump siezed and the belt burned up. The engine will go another 100k at least because there the oil comes out clean and there is no loss of oil between changes, I can get 35 mpg on the highway if i run 60-65 at higher speeds it drops to 30 mpg...

EGR valve, and the full range of regular maintanence including K&N. So, the hope is that further taking care of this car will see it to 300,000. Guess we shall see.
